Attack of the Superbugs
Client: Quatrefoil Associates | Discovery Place
Credits: Director, Videographer and Editor
Attack of the Superbugs is an unusual video about the misuse of antibiotics, how this leads to strains of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and what visitors can do to stop these lethal superbugs from developing. The video is part of “Them”, a health-related exhibition produced by Quatrefoil Associates, an award winning museum exhibit design firm, for Discovery Place in Charlotte, NC.
My contributions to the project included: working with the talent (human and canine) to develop their performances; blocking the scenes and developing shot lists; lighting – both on location and in studio; camera operation; creating animations and editing all the pieces together.

My contributions to the project included: working with the director and animator to develop a plan for the creation of the animation sequences that included talent; developing a shot list; advising on and building the box armature that were used for compositing talent within the animations; studio lighting; camera operation; and assembling the animations, audio and music into the final presentation.
The ARM Mobile Facilities
Client: StormCenter Communications | Department of Energy
Credits: Director, Videographer and Editor
The ARM Mobile Facilities is one of a suite of three videos created by StormCenter Communications on behalf of The Department of Energy. The videos target various groups and individuals who have interest in conducting Atmospheric Radiation Measurements using the DOE’s Climate Research Facility. The Southern Great Plains, Airborne and Mobile Facility videos introduce the instruments and capabilities of each facility. All videos were shot at multiple locations showing instrument deployment and include interviews with both managers and customers.
I was responsible for learning the unique features of each facility and activity plan for the shooting days; using this information for ENG style shooting of b-roll footage of the activities; staging and shooting of interviews; creating animations; directing the voice-over talent and music composer and editing each of the final videos.

I have been working the summit for the past 10 years, and have been responsible for program formatting; the coordination, set up, operation and strike of equipment; establishing and maintaining multi-stream connectivity; live technical direction, and graphic and set design.
